Anticipation and Preparation - Camping Anxiety

Thursday Night

Reality set in that we were going camping.  This is where Tracy says, "EEEKKK!!!"

We had found some of our camping equipment the previous weekend as that was our originally scheduled camp trip however, Bj could not find the ropes.  The ropes were to hang a tarp over our tent (in case of rain), so he added that to his list of camping goodies he needed to pick up from Walmart.
Just a small amount of early packing.  Bj doesn't pack light!

Bj was in charge of the packing list for this camping event as he’s the Boy Scout and knows where everything is in the basement (ha ha!)

He was working that evening at the local high school, so this gave me the evening to try and get my stuff together for the weekend and maybe get the house somewhat in order.  I gave up on the latter but I did manage to make my yummy almond meal bread to take with us.

As most trips go, the night before was an extremely sleepless night with Bj's arthritic back being extremely painful and an extremely bad episode of restless legs.   I wish the sleepless night would have been more from excitement to go.

But alas we survived. Yay!!

Stay tuned for my next post about us loading up the small car, a small family crisis before we left, and the comedy of setting up the tent.
